My sister had her own encounters with the Hat man in the early 2000s. She had cancer over a long period of time and was often in pain during that time. She told me the story of when she was sleeping in bed, in her apartment and when she woke up in the middle of the night, she saw the top hat man sitting in a chair next to her bed. He made her feel better, and she was not alone. This happened many times, but her experience was a good one every time. She called him her guardian angel.
