YOUR EXPECTATIONS DECIDE YOUR MENTAL HEALTH (Mental health opinion)

You expect an outcome for yourself based on the things you do, but what should you expect and in what form does it come. If you expect things to go your way, you are called an optimist or a positive individual. Should you expect things not to go your way, you are called a pessimist or a negative individual.

This simple distinction does not explain away every type of personality or every persons fate in life, but it does in essence divide in two the main factors of thought that determine one’s disposition toward one’s future and thereby, what actions one takes in one’s life. This distinction also uncovers where the fear is born with every individual.

If you expect your outcome to be unfavorable, then your are likely not to act on it, because you don’t want an unfavorable result. Thereby your reluctance to act limits you and we can call this your “fear”, in particular your inner fear of failure. This is the most common fear in us humans. The fear can create overthinking in life and will negatively affect your decisions and going forward with actions in life. Such constant overthinking is one of the primary reasons for poor mental health of individuals of the present day.

However, if you expect your outcome to be favorable to you, then you are almost certain to act on it, because you want a favorable result. This automatic certainty to act is what we can call your “confidence” in that particular pursuit. And the person that acts and conducts himself/herself with confidence, is without fear in making decisions and acting on them. As a result there exists no need to overthink with decisions or actions, and by default your mental health remains healthy and good.
