Every Yule since I was born,
my family had this tradition
of making chocolate sweets
before Christmas Eve day.
Every member of the family
in Iceland would gather at
my parents house, and there
we would make our own
special confectionaries,
from sugar and marzipan,
with many flavors and in
white, yellow, green and red.
It is part of the Yuletide
for me and my loved ones
not to ever skipped
to be forever upheld.
The sweets are now
made at my house
they are made today
everyone is coming.
