For those who’s job is to tell the news
to give us the facts and our social cues
they often do like to sound the alarm
listing all the things that will do us harm
for they need us to be glued, to the screen
clicking on the news, to see what has been
going on in the world, and who has died
to see people dead, and watch who cried
for the news today are now made for shock
they want you watching round the clock
there is so much money they need to make
so some news are real but a lot is fake
our own emotions they need to invoke
anger, outrage, resentment are no joke
the more we see and the more we hear
that is how they keep our faces near
but our world is not at deaths door
the climate is fine, no need to roar
just look to yourself n’ what is thyne
turn off the news and you’ll be fine.
