IILNESS
I know a man who is ill
his thoughts are trapped,
do not bend to his will.
He has endured this fate
from his early twenties,
continues on as of late.
His mental illness has no cure
no psychiatrist can ever help,
only medication helps for sure.
He battles darkness every day
attacked by his own delusions,
by pushing his thoughts away.
I try and help him the best I can
cause that is what brothers do,
I miss the friend within the man.
