SATURDAY THOUGHTS

Here is a little news update from an island man, up in the middle of the north Atlantic. The claws of winter snow have lost their grip of the ground in the towns and cities, but keep a stranglehold on the mountains and hills. Even the Elves are starting to clean their backyards today. The spirit of the population is high, because of the sunlight and modest heat, given to them after a long and hard winter. Everyone looks hopeful, which goes well with the smiles on the faces. Good weather is a rare gift in this place, so everyone grateful today. People flock to the public swimming pools. The parents come to let the kids swim and splash, and forget about the boring winter. The pools are full today, and people are talking to another about everything and nothing, which is the custom in Iceland. The public meeting places in Iceland are the open air swimming pools. We don’t have a local pub or café custom here. Going to the swimming pool today, you get a little tan, while you are getting something off your chest.

Well, I hope you are all having a good day today, where ever you are. Take care.
