SLEEP TERRORS
As a child I could never fall asleep
for the fear in me was really deep
at bedtime the dead did visit me
and I buried my head at my knee
they just stood staring by my bed
I screamed, and to my mom I fled
cause she knew of the ghosts too
standing watch by my bed, as to
fend off the confused sprits there
drawn to children where they were
we later moved from this place
finding a ghost free living space
a house the dead had never known
and there I could fall asleep alone.
