I ventured out with my wife today
visiting stores selling shiny things,
showing bright toys for kids to play
n’ around us the Yule-music sings.
Culture differs from place to place
for some celebrate Christmas day,
but Nordics give their Yule it’s grace
and celebrate the dark going away.
